About Project 365
Thanks for stopping by my blog! This is Year 2 of my Project365 blog. What is a Project 365? It's a photo challenge involving people from all over the world posting one photo per day throughout 2011. Some photographers choose themes, however for now my photos will be totally random. I will be shooting with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi-18-55mm, 75-300mm zoom and 100mm 2.8 macro lenses. I edit in iPhoto and Photoshop Elements 9. Not all photos are "perfect"; the purpose is to make photography an everyday event.
I am not a professional. Photography has always been a diversion of mine. I am a primary grade teacher and passionate tech. enthusiast. I consider myself an experienced amateur with LOTS to learn!
You will find links to other photographers in the sidebar- do check them out! I have also joined the Flickr EdTech 365/2011 Group, and you can click this link to view the entire pool. I will be posting my photos to their group pool, as well as here on my photo blog. I welcome your constructive criticism!

Day 171- Anthurium
One of my students gave me this beautiful plant on the last day of school. She was so appreciative, as was I of this pretty, pink gift!
Day 170- Dragonfly
Spied this dragonfly out on our patio umbrella last night. He's gone this morning, so he must have just been resting!
Day 169- Macro Iris
This is my dark iris after blooming. Interesting features via the macro lens!
Day 168- Ready to Bloom
This is one of my favorite irises from my garden. Love its deep, rich tones!
Day 167- Purple
This shot is also a throwback from Field Day 3 weeks ago. No idea what these wild flowers are, but I thought they were pretty!
Day 166- Beads
This shot is about 3 weeks old- shot at Field Day earlier this month, and recently processed with PSE9. The kids got to visit an "art station" thanks to our talented art teacher!

Day 165- Visitor in the Lilies
I didn't even spy the "visitor" on the lily until I uploaded and enlarged this shot. Camouflage can be a wonderful thing!

Day 164- Graduation Day
A proud moment for the family- our son graduated from high school yesterday, even with the crutches! My apologies for the 2 week hiatus, however between prepping for his graduation, my end of school year, and assorted other factors, it's been nearly impossible to post or comment. I hope to be soon returning to a regular routine of both!
