Just over a week ago my class' Journey North tulip garden began to poke through the snow in our garden bed. I love this project-based learning experience as my class is able to integrate science, writing, technology, and more with good old-fashioned gardening! The next benchmark will be when the tulips bloom. Then we can also dig up the accompanying time capsule that we buried nearby. Now if only there wasn't that pesky, predicted Nor'easter later this week. Let's hope these tulips are hardy!Tuesday, March 29, 2011
Day 88- Emerged

Nice close-up! Seedlings can be hard to photograph due to their size (and a desire to not squish the little things.) Looks like you and your camera stood up to the challenge, though!
