Seems like last week the dandelions were just beginning to bloom. Now they're already proceeding to go to seed. Although they're a pest, they do have their beautiful qualities!
P.S: I may have found a "fix" to my blurry shots on Blogger. I've begun posting from Flickr instead of from my computer, and it seems to have improved image quality. Let me know what you think!
Re. the blurry shots - I've noticed this once but it was a little while ago now, a few weeks. What happened was that flickr changed the size that your images were shared at - you used to only be able to share one size of image (500 pixels or thereabouts) and now you can share any size, so if the blogger image tag doesn't quite match that it resizes the image a little blurry. What I do personally is edit my photos, including resizing them to 1000 pixels wide and sharpen them (this whole step is all optional, but means you have more control over how they look on the web), upload them to flickr, share the large size which is actually my full 1000 pixel image, upload it large to blogger in the html box, then change the dimensions in the text of the tag to '555' and '333' (because choosing the 'medium' setting makes them too small for my liking) so that the image doesn't come out oversized when people view the page. There are various ways to achieve this. I'm not sure if this is the same issues as you're having, but I thought I'd mention it anyway - I've certainly noticed that your photos started coming out slightly bigger from day 139 onwards (although was that when you changed to uploading from flickr?). I hope that all makes sense!
ReplyDeleteSarah- yes the change in size was apparently due to uploading from Flickr. Thanks for your thoughts, although I'm not totally sure that that's what was going on for me. I had always uploaded to Blogger directly from my computer, as well as to Flickr- but separately. I had never (before this weekend) linked from the web to Blogger. Not sure what changed, but something did the week of May 11th. Anyway, I am much happier with the quality again! :)

ReplyDeleteI've always uploaded from Flickr. and have not noticed blurriness. One thing I did a while ago was change my menus from the left to the right. Then my images were not cut off on the right for the menu.
